What is Needed to Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer with Ram Truck that Has Ram Boxes

Was wondering if this will work on my truck I have a 2021 Ram 2500 Cummins Crew Cab with the Ram Box option Add if there are any things I’d need to do differently to install? Thank You

Hey Mark, so there is only one way to be able to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a truck that has Ram Boxes and that is by replacing the pin box of the trailer (if possible) with a Sidewinder pin box as that moves pivot point high enough that the pin box wouldn't end up hitting the bed rails/Ram Boxes.
Now to do that we would need to know what pin box is on your 5th wheel trailer first and go from there. Otherwise it's pretty difficult overall towing with a truck that has Ram Boxes.
If that works out then you'd need a fixed hitch and rail kit like the B and W Patriot and Rail Kit part # BW89XR that fits your truck.

Hey Mark, what did you find out about the pin box on your fifth wheel trailer? Once you had that info, were you able to move forward with the Sidewinder setup and the fixed B&W Patriot hitch? Your update could make it easier for others towing with Ram Boxes.
