Can Zerk of EZ Lube Spindle Get Removed to Use Bearing Buddy

Question:
I have 3500 axles on a utility trailer! Can I remove the zerks that are in the end of the spindles and use these bearing buddies to achieve the same result? It seems that my zerks are pressed in and they pop out all the time, so I was hoping the bearing buddies would push the grease back to the rear seal to maintain the proper grease level in the hub!

Hey Eric, you can remove the zerk and use a Bearing Buddy like the part # BB1980A and it will allow you to pump grease into the hub but in general the way the EZ lube spindle pumps the grease into the hub is the better way since it puts the grease into the middle of the hub whereas the Bearing Buddy tries to push it through the front. Both ways actually make it almost too easy to pump too much grease into the hub and blow out a grease seal though so we generally recommend packing by hand.
