Curt 607JR and Tekonsha T-One 118467 for a 2025 Subaru Outback. Rather than drape out under the hatch, can you make a recommendation for permanent placement of the plug outside the vehicle? Hoping there are various options - looking for a clean protected install.

Hey Mike there should be a grommet under the spare tire that you can route the Curt Wiring Harness item # C56040 through. This was there on the previous models and we've had customers do what you're wanting successfully. You can use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector item # C58001 to attach it to your hitch so it is in a safe accessible location.
The Curt Wiring Harness item # C56040 is custom fit for the 2025 Subaru Outback. It plugs into your Subaru's wiring harness, which is located behind the interior trim panel in your rear cargo area.
