What Info Is Needed to Pick Out Replacement Axle for '82 Burro Trailer
Updated 01/12/2026 | Published 09/05/2024 >
Question:
I have an ‘82 Burro trailer, 13’. Says it weighs 960lbs., and am looking to replace the axle. Any recommendations? It has the torsion arm now, but I’m open to any type. Thanks

Hey Larry, so to pick out replacement axles you have to know three pieces of info. The distance between the spring seat centers, distance from hub face to hub face, and the capacity. We only have a select few of leaf spring style axles and no torsion axles. If we don't have the dimensions you need you'd need to find a local trailer shop that can order custom axles.

Hey Larry, were you able to find an axle that fits your Burro trailer after checking those measurements? Knowing what worked could help others looking to replace older torsion setups.
