Question:
Currently have a 1993 Fleetwood Flair RV. The three wire LP leak detectoralarm is in need of replacement. Looked everywhere and cannot find a replacement for it. All newer alarms have a two wire connection. Looking to see if you carry a part that might be compatible that would work ? Any advise here would be much appreciated. Thank You

Hey Brad,
The 3-wire design for older LP detectors just included a second power wire (one directly to the battery and one to the DC distribution panel) to ensure that the detector always has power to keep you safe. If you wire one of the two-wire detectors up then you'd just want to run it directly to the battery if you wanted constant power with no chance of a disconnect switch interfering. If you aren't plugged into shore power then only one of those wires should have power from the battery so you'll be able to see which wire the new detector would need to connect to.
If you want just a standard LP detector then you can go with the black # RS44FR or white # RS64FR. If you'd prefer to have a LP and carbon monoxide detector then you'll want the black # RS54FR or white # RS34FR instead.

Hey Brad, how did things go with wiring the new two-wire LP detector in your Fleetwood Flair? Your update could make it easier for others replacing older three-wire alarms.
