Question:
I am looking for brake parts for my 1994 Jayco 1207. I would like to replace the hydraulic surge brakes and master cylinder. Is there a way to find out which brakes fit my vehicle?

Hello Dan. I can certainly point you in the right direction, but I do not have a way to look up your Jayco camper to know exactly what brakes you will need.
As far as the brake assemblies, if you can tell me the weight capacity of the axle that will help a ton to narrow down the correct brakes. For example, the Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit # AKUBRK-35 will fit a 3,500 lb axle. It uses 10" diameter 2-1/4" thick brake shoes. Please verify your axle capacity and let me know if it is not a 3,500 lb axle.
For the master cylinder, that will be brand specific to the actuator So, I will need to know exactly what brand and model of actuator you have. For example the Replacement Master Cylinder Assembly # T4749501042 will work with the Dexter model 10 and model 20 actuators. Please confirm for me what actuator you have. If no master cylinder is available, you will need to replace the entire actuator.

Hey Dan, were you able to confirm the axle capacity on your Jayco and the brand of your actuator? Knowing what you found could help others trying to match brakes and master cylinders for older campers.
