@JesseM yes it worked well but I added a weatherstrip to improve the fit when in the closed position.

I went and pulled a Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent #VA0445-36 to measure the width of the lip that goes over the trailer ceiling and found it to be 1-5/16 inches.
