Brake Controller Recommendation for 2018 Nissan Frontier SV with Factory 7-Way

Hello Charles, I have a 2018 Nissan Frontier SV with the tow package. I have a 7 pin connection and I bought a trailer that has electric brakes. I do not have a brake controller built in to my truck. Would I be able to use the electric brakes on my trailer if I added a brake controller and adapter? Thank you. Joe S.

Hey Joe, with the install of a brake controller in your 2018 Nissan Frontier that has a 7-way you would be able to control the trailer brakes. For that I would recommend the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty with Custom Install Harness part # RED53CR which gives you a super nice brake controller that would only put a small knob on the dash of the vehicle.

Hey Joe, how did things go with adding the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty brake controller to your Frontier? Did it give you the smooth trailer brake control you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar tow package.
