Question:
I have a 2006 dodge mega cab. I have reese rails and mounting kit installed in truck. I have a Reese 16k fifthwheel mounted in it. What I need to know is can I use a curt slider with my reese fifthwheel and rails. The rails are standard. Also if I have to use a reese slider will 10 of rear slide be enough. The curt gives me 12 that is why Im considering the curt slider. What is your thoughts on this . Thank you .

Hey Cory, so If I'm understanding correctly you just want to use your Curt 5th wheel with your Reese rails? If that's the case, then yes you can, you just have to make sure that your Curt slider uses the standard industry standard connection for 5th wheels (I.e., not for a puck system or special mounting rails).
As far as clearance goes, 10" is plenty, so you'd be fine realistically with either 10 or 12" of clearance.

Hey Cory, how did things turn out with the Curt slider on your Reese rails? Did the extra 2 inches of travel make a noticeable difference in your clearance? Your update could make it easier for others comparing those setups.
