Availability of Soft Start for Dometic FreshJet 5

Question:
Im installing the Dometic FreshJet 5 15k BTU with heat-pump roof top air conditioner onto my Airstream. Even though the just-released FreshJet 5 air conditioner has an integrated hard start Id like to add a soft start too they work better for my use on a 30amp RV combined with a 15k BTU AC The specific Dometic Soft Start DMC87RR says its for the FreshJet model. The newest FreshJet is model 5 replaces the old FreshJet 3 model. Do you know if part DMC87RR is compatible with the newest new FreshJet 5 models?

Hey Mike, great question! I reached out to Dometic and they said the Dometic Soft Start for FreshJet Mechanical Air Conditioners # DMC87RR is also compatible with the FreshJet 5. You can use this to add a soft start to your new AC unit.
