Will Brake Light Indicator of SMI Stay N Play Work If Inactive Stoplight with Key Off

I am looking at the stay in play preferably with the coach notification. I am towing a 2010 jeep 2 door rubicon. The ignition does not need to be on to tow, as there is no steering lock. The brake lights do not activate with the key off. Am I correct in assuming that the notification or the light system will not work with the key off as well?

Great question David, so without an active brake light switch circuit the indicator light of the SMI Stay N Play part # SM99251 will not light up but we can still help. You would need to wire in the Roadmaster universal brake light kit part # RM-751000 as well.
