Question:

Im considering ordering these to replace my 7K axle springs. I have a 2021 Grand Design Solitude 346FLS. I talked to Grand Design about additional information and they wouldnt give me any concrete answers because they wanted me to go through them for purchase. Id rather not. Regardless, I would like to know if these fit. All measurements appear they would. Currently my eye to eye measurement still attached shows 25 7/8. I know this is longer than what your site says, but they also still have weight on them. Im fairly sure they would be close to 24 7/8inch with no weight on them. Would you agree? I would replace all mounting hardware should I order these as well as bronze bushings. I have the Morryde 3000 CRE system on the trailer and am happy with that. Although Im not opposed to the Morryde Alltrek 4000 system. However that is another question for another time. In summary will these springs work? I have attached a photo of the axle label that is on the trailer. Thank you.

Thanks for the picture! It's hard to say how much your springs have stretched out over 3 years but an inch seems pretty reasonable. If you have the ability to jack one side of the trailer up you could get a more accurate measurement. I would make sure you have the same amount of leafs as the 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # DX74XR you were looking at because that will definitely affect your ride height and comfort if you're adding some. I did notice you have 7,000 lbs axles, item # e64SR has the same dimensions and one less leaf. These might be a better option.

The correct Bronze Bushing will be item # D014-077-00. They're sold individually.

The correct wet bolt/ shackle upgrade kit for your MORryde CRE/3000 axle will depend on the length of your current shackle links, measured center hole to center hole. For 2-1/4 inch shackle links, item # MR46ZR or for 3-1/8 inch shackle links, use item # MR76ZR.

Thank you for the response Jerred, I appreciate it. Current 7k springs have 6 leaf’s. The 8K leafs have an additional one. Even when this trailer was new, the leafs were relatively flat which is why I’m thinking of upgrading. I know they are a bit stiffer, but in its current state it oscillates pretty good when you encounter rough terrain. My worry is breaking a leaf and being in a bind with the current set up. Just looking for a little more protection while we are miles away from home. The way it moves currently dictates it could stand to have some more dampening and I’m hoping the 8k leafs could be the remedy.
