Can a 2022 Grand Design Momentum W/ 3.5K Springs Be Upgraded to 4K Springs

Question:

I have a 2022 Grand design Momentum 350g. I believe it has 3500 springs. I’ve read where people have upgraded to 4k springs to help with weight as well as take some of the sag out of it. Do you have a part number, by chance?

Hey Kenny you can upgrade your leaf springs to a higher rated 4k spring like the 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles # DX74XR. I'm just going to need to know what your current spring measures from center eye to eye, as well as the spring seat center to spring seat center.

From here I'd be happy to make a recommendation for a higher capacity spring.

I have 7k axles so the springs are 3500 each. I don’t think 3 leaf’s would cut it

@Kenny The amount of leaf's don't matter. As long as you replace the spring with a spring of the same rating (or higher) and length, you'll be good to go.
