Hello Gordon. In the case of the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, there is actually no difference between the brake controllers listed for vehicles with and without the factory tow packages. For example, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is recommended for vehicles with or without the tow package. It comes with the 4-wire pigtail which is necessary for installation.
Vehicles without the tow package will need to install the trailer wiring kits # C27BR and # ETBC7 in order to use a brake controller.
