Recommended Replacement Brakes for a 2022 Grand Design Momentum 351MS Toy Hauler

Question:

I have a 2022 Grand Design Momentum 351MS toy hauler dual axle, 17.5inch tires with Dexter 7K axles and auto adjusting brakes. Do these brakes 23-464-465 work or is there a different set I should be looking at? I believe it has 12inch x 2inch drums on it now.

Hey Paul, for your 2022 Grand Design Momentum 351MS you can use the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-180-181 for replacement brakes.

These brakes will work with Dexter 7k axles, measures 12" x 2", and has a 5 bolt mounting flange.

I have a 2022 Grand Design Solitude 390 RK. I know there are only two wires coming from the electric brakes, but when I looked, I also saw that there were two other wires connected into the brake wires. Any idea what they are and what they would go to before I order brakes, and cut the wires? Bob Castner

@RobertC I'm not sure what those wires are on the existing brakes. I would connect them the same way they are now when you install your new brakes so you don't have any issues. The only thing that should be running to the brakes is power, and the other wire is the ground.
