How Do I Install The Replacement Tailgate Seal for Pace Edwards UltraGroove Tonneau Cover PE84AJ

Question:

Hi how do I install this? Replacement Tailgate Seal for Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable Tonneau Cover part PE84AJ. I found the seal grove is really hard to be opened to hook up on my tonneau cover end. Do you have a video how to get it on there?

Hello Mark. Here are the steps for replacing the # PE84AJ Tailgate Seal:

- Remove plastic rail end caps

- Overextend cover a few inches past end of rails

- Slide old TG seal out of groove

- Using soapy water and slide new TG seal in from beginning of groove

- Trim so there is an 1/8” gap between ends of TG seal and rail sweep seal. You do not want TG seal touching rail sweep seals

Thanks Jesse. I have the Leer Electric Retractable cover. How do I remove the end cap? I saw 2 screws at the bottom, but after removing the screws, i still found it hard to remove the end cap.

@MarkW I went and looked at one of the Leer Electric Retractable covers and the two screws appear to be the only thing holding the end cap on so with those removed you should be able to get the cap off. Maybe see if some WD40 helps get them loose. A bit more force might do the trick. Don't break anything though.
