Could Older Thule Helium Bike Rack be Upgraded to Current Zip Strap Style Frame Cradles

Like the comments above I have an older helium bike rack. I’m older now and it’s hard for me to pull the rubber straps to lock in place over the cradles. Can I buy the cradles that are on the newer version of the helium that have like locking zip ties instead of the rubber straps Thanks Stsn

Hey Stan, so it should work but you need to measure the diameter of your bike rack arms to be totally sure. As long as they are 1-1/4 inch in diameter you could swap to the newer Thule frame cradle design that uses locking zip straps instead of the rubber straps. If that dimension checks out the parts you need are:

Hey Stan, how did things go with measuring the arms on your Helium bike rack? Were you able to switch to the newer cradles with the locking zip straps? Your update could make it easier for others with the same older rack.
