Question:

Hi. I have a Four Winns tandem axle boat trailer. My leaf spring bolts and links are worn. My links are 1 1/4inch x 4 1/2. The springs are 1 3/4inch wide and are not slipper, but double eye. The bolts are 9/16 diameter. Can to tell me what kit i should order from you for the links and bolts? Thank you. Paul

Hey Paul,

When measuring shackle straps you'll want to measure from center to center of the bolt holes. The process for double-eye leaf springs is the same but you'll want to do it when the trailer is lifted up by the frame to take the weight off of them. Based on the length of your shackle straps you likely need a 3-1/8" Long shackle strap # TRSL313. You can measure to confirm.

For the leaf springs we'll need to know the eye-to-eye length and axle capacity to determine the correct replacements. I would also measure the length of one of your bolts to confirm the correct replacement.

Let me know what you find and we can pick out the right components.

Wow, thank you for the quick reply. I'm not going to replace the springs. You are correct. I am 3 1/8 long. I will check out that kit. Thank you

That is individual strap. Do you have a kit with 8 straps and 12 bolts?

@Paul With a 3-1/8" sizing we currently only offer the shackle straps in a kit with wet bolts like the MORryde # MR76ZR. If you don't have want to have to grease your bolts routinely then you would need to purchase the shackle straps and bolts separately.
