That is a great question. The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly # TVXL2 can be used on gravel, but its performance will completely depend on how tightly packed the gravel is. On very loose gravel the Trailer Valet may be harder to maneuver and navigate. Adding tongue weight can help the tires grip better on loose gravel. If the gravel is at least somewhat packed, the Trailer Valet will work great.
The motorized Trailer Valets like the Trailer Valet RVR9 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly # TVRVR9 are a much better option. This model has a much wider caterpillar tread which allows it to get good traction on pretty much any surface like asphalt, gravel, dirt, grass or even sand. The performance of this model depends more on the grade rather than the surface itself. For loose gravel or sand, this will definitely be your best bet.
