Replacing Tekonsha 2030 Mark 12 Brake Controller With Prodigy P2

Question:
I own a 97 Dodge 2500 V-10 4 Whl Drive pickup that I use to pull a 32 Holiday Alum-A-Lite 5th Wheel trailer. The brakes are not working and I am planning to replace the brake assemblies on all 4 tires, 5,000 axles. That said I currently have a Tekonsha 2030 Mark 12 brake controller that I want to replace. Would there be problems if I simply installed the Prodigy P2 control using the same wiring at the Mark 12? Do you have a better suggestion? Thanks Tom

Hi Tom; installing the Prodigy P2 # TK28HR won't be a problem. The old 2030 Mark 12 uses the standard red, blue, black, and white wires so you will wire up the P2 the same way for installation. The P2 is a great, reliable brake controller so this will be a really nice upgrade for your setup.
