Can Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System Work on Monaco Cayman 36PDQ

2021 Ford F-150 Powerboost Hybrid to a hydraulic motorhome, 2005 Monaco Cayman 36PDQ, and my vendor is telling me your Demco Stay n Play won’t work on my motor home Please help Jeffery

Hello Jeffery,
If your 2005 Monaco Cayman 36PDQ does have hydraulic brakes and not air brake then yes, you can use the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251. However, from everything I'm seeing, the 36PDQ does have air brakes, which means the Stay-IN-Play could not be used and instead you'd need the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes # SM99243.
That said, you certainly know your motorhome better than I do, so if there was maybe a brake conversion of some sort, and your Monaco has hydraulic brakes than you can use the Stay-IN-Play. But a call to Monaco with your VIN to at least see what your motorhome initially had is probably a good idea.
