Hey Greg,

The pressure is all on the suspension of the tow vehicle is this case so adding in a weight distribution hitch and an enhanced jounce bumper will definitely help with distributing the load safely. The Timbrens compatible with your 2023 Ram 1500 are all rated so highly that you'd likely have a rough unloaded ride quality and would want to take them back off so I recommend going with the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-40 instead.

These springs have a 1,000lb load leveling capacity and would fall more inline with the weight you're towing. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the trailer's GVWR which would be 760 - 1,140lbs for you. The Timbrens are rated for 6,000lbs or more so you'd never end up coming close to their capacity and would be hitting a hard chunk of rubber. SumoSprings offer a softer progression so you don't get a jarring shock when running over bumps in the road while unloaded. They require no maintenance and will take only a few minutes to install.
