Suspension Enhancement Options For A Lifted 2006 Ford F-350 Pulling A 10,000 lb Trailer

Question:

So I have a lifted 06 f350 that I pulled my camper with for the first time this last weekend. The camper is not a 5th wheel and weights almost 10 k. Any way I had a lot of sway and was not comfortable over 60 mph. My question is do you think your product will solve or at least help my issue and do I have to remove factory overload springs to install your product? Thanks steve

Hello Stephen, thanks for reaching out. The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-HD will certainly help with your sway issues. It will help to level your ride which will in turn improve handling and reduce sway.

I see that you also ordered the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR350SDF which is also a good choice. These will add quite a bit of additional support when you are hauling your trailer. They will also reduce sagging and help with stability and reducing the side-to-side movement you are experiencing at highway speeds.

Another thing you can do is add a weight distribution hitch such as the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU27FR. This will do a great job preventing sway, and actively eliminating sway when it does happen. Keep in mind this is for A-frame trailers only, and we will want to make sure you have room on the tongue for the brackets which need to mount 20" to 25" back from the hitch ball.
