When you hook up a trailer or load the bed with heavy gear, these helper springs step in to keep things level. With a 3,500-lb capacity, the Hellwig Load Pro 35 Heavy Duty Helper Springs mount above your factory leaf springs to prevent sagging and rear-end squat. That means steadier braking, confident steering, and a safer, more controlled ride when towing or hauling serious weight.
Big loads can make your rig feel sloppy through corners or over uneven pavement. These custom helper springs upgrade your factory setup to reduce sway and body roll so your suspension stays composed. They flex with your leaf springs, limiting bounce while improving overall stability whether you’re towing a camper, hauling tools, or driving highway miles with a trailer in tow.
Not every load sits perfectly balanced. Each side of the Hellwig Load Pro 35 can be adjusted independently so you can dial in support where it’s needed most. That keeps uneven cargo from leaning your truck to one side and helps maintain level handling even when one wheel well is carrying more weight than the other.
These helper springs are built from heavy-duty steel with a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish that resists corrosion. They come with a custom bolt-on installation kit for a solid fit above your existing leaf springs. Once installed, they extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes by taking on the load instead of leaving it all to your stock components.

If your vehicle is equipped with a brake fluid proportioning valve this constant rate spring is not recommended. Only progressive rate helper springs should be used. If your vehicle is equipped with a factory contact overload it may need to be removed before installing the new helper springs. Please consult the installation guide. Do not install on vehicles with composite (plastic) leaf springs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Hellwig Load Pro 35 heavy duty helper springs with the custom mounting kit. Now, this is a custom fit part. This is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive trucks. And because it's a custom fit part, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this Load Pro 35 spring set features a full-time spring rate design, which is ideal for vehicles or fleet applications that consistently carry a heavy load day in and day out, gives you a full-time spring rate to adjust to the load on your vehicle for an improved ride and it won't affect your ride while it's unloaded.
One note I do wanna mention, if your vehicle is equipped with a brake fluid proportioning valve, this constant rate spring is not recommended. Only progressive rate helper springs should be used. Now, these custom helper springs will upgrade your factory leaf springs to reduce sway and body roll. They do prevent sagging when you're towing or hauling heavy loads, and they'll extend the life of your factory suspension, tires and brakes. This kit here uses four helper leaf springs that'll flex with the factory leaf springs to limit any bouncing while providing optimal stability.
It is a very easy install. They'll bolt above your factory leaf springs. The driver and the passenger sides can be adjusted independently for uneven loads. The custom installation kit that comes with it includes all the zinc-plated hardware. And for this video, you can see I've attached all the installation hardware to it to show you what it looks like when it's installed.
One note to mention, if your vehicle's equipped with a factory contact overload, it may need to be removed before installing these new helper springs. What I would recommend is just to consult the installation guide. These are a durable steel construction. They ensure long lasting performance. And one thing I do wanna mention is the finish on these, they use a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish to resist corrosion.
I want to zoom in real close to show you. There's your springs. You can see the finish on them. It gives them a nice finish. Besides looking good, like I said, it helps resist corrosion. Now, these parts are made in the USA. A few specs on this. The weight capacity is 3,500 pounds and these Hellwig helper springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. But that should do it for the review on the Hellwig Load Pro 35 heavy duty helper springs with the custom mounting kit.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
RV was soft in the rear. These where not so bad to install. And make a big differance in stance abd ride. I think they are a must have.
Great service, people are great to work with, they back every they sell.
I've used E-Trailer for years
Hard to review a product the day after it arrives sometimes. I did however mock the overloads up on the truck to make sure everything was going to fit. I need these to help with tongue weight on a bigger fifth wheel rv I tow. I like the fact that I can adjust preload tension. I also have timbrens under the truck but need to correct some sway under windy conditions. Time will tell.
Customer service person Jill is a diamond in the rough, a consummate professional diservant of a pay raise. The Pro 35 helper springs exceeds my expectations.
etrailer customer support was great! Shipment to AK got damaged first time and they responded very quickly and sent me all the replacement parts I needed. The product is great and would definitely buy again if I swap out to a new truck!
The motorhome we own is famous for a droopy rear end, scraped bottom on any slope. We spent 2 months in Alaska including a trip to the Arctic Circle. The The Hellwig helper springs made a world of difference,no bottoming of the rear end.I have purchased a lot of products from etrailer and always found the to be; price competitive, good quality, fit accurate, in stock, fast shipping and provide before & after sales suppore.
Easy installation,
Springs fit well. Seem to help with squat. Wish you did will call instead of shipping.
The product is great and installed fairly easy. The only issue I had was the box was not secure upon arrival and we had to make two plates that were missing. The box needs to be heavier.
I was very disappointed. etrailer only sent 1 of the two packages that was part of the complete item, shipped in two separate packages. I contacted them and they side it would be 45 days before they would receive the complete item.
I decided to return the first package and will try to find this item where I can get it sooner.
I have ordered other things from etrailer and have not had any problems.
