Can a 2010 Ram 1500, 5.7 Liter Tow a 12,000 Pound 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Want to know if my 2010 dodge ram 1500/5.7 hemi engine can pull a 2001 - 29ft Glendale titanium 5th wheel. GVWR empty is 4805 kg or 10593 lbs. estimated weight with water, etc 12000 lbs

There are several different trim levels for the 2010 Ram 1500, all with different towing capacities. The highest I was able to find was 10,200 pounds. None of them go up to 12,000 pounds. You would need a different trailer or a 3/4 or 1-ton truck to tow the 2001 Glendale.

The towing capacity of your truck should be in the owners manual. This would also include payload information to determine if it can handle the pin weight.
