How Much Clearance Does The Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch Need Between The RV Wall And Bumper
Question:
How much clearance is required between the bumper and camper body to install/use. The top of my bumper is about level with the bottom of the wall with only roughly 1/2” clearance.

Hi Casey,
I actually tested this out myself because the manufacturer stated that you need an 1". I was able to get the Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch for 4.0" RV Bumpers # MNT47FR installed with just 1/4" - 3/8" gap between the bumper and trailer wall. It's a bit of a hassle piecing it together with limited space but can still be done. If you're placing so that the receiver tube is on top of the bumper then you'll want to slide the back plate up from the bottom first and wiggle the middle brackets that sit on top of the bumper in and can then move onto the front plate.
