Question:
I have new 8inch wheels for my golf cart trailer. But they dont fit the hubs. They are both 5on4.5 but the hubs diameter is too big to fit into the recessed area of the wheel. I am NOT referring to the center bore- it is fine. I am referring to the outer hub diameter being about 6-1/4inch and the recess inside the wheel being about 5-1/2inch diameter. Can you help? Thanks!

Hey Shane,
The hub face extends past the studs on the Trailer Idler Hub for 2.2K Axle AKIHUB-545-2-Z by 3/4" so you'll need to switch to a smaller option like the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-259-5UC1-EZ. This hub face only extends 1/4" past the studs, which should give you enough clearance for recess of the wheel.

Hi Kevin, I am not sure I understand. Or maybe I didn't explain it well. This is not a center bore issue. The center bore is big enough. It is the overall diameter of the hub face. If you look at the picture of my wheel you will see a black ring where the hub was making contact with the wheel. Sorry if I misunderstood you. Shane
