Is the Inno Rod Box Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier Weatherproof

Question:

is this Inno rod box weatherproof? or does it leak water into the box, as I see the note about drain holes in the bottom... was hoping to use this for fishing rods and maybe folded clothing too, when on a long 4-8 hour drive to fishing areas

Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out!

The Inno Rod Box Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier # IN52FR is designed to help protect against the elements, and while it will do a decent job at keeping water out, it isn't designed to be watertight or weatherproof so there's still a possibility that clothes in the bottom of it could get a little wet. Since this is meant for carrying fishing rods, Inno wasn't too concerned with keeping the interior as dry as possible. From my understanding those drain holes are more for any water that might be on the fishing rods.

You can still use this for transporting clothes but you'll want to put them in a sealed bag to keep them completely dry.
