How to Convert Manual HappiJac Model 4160 Jacks to Electric
Question:
I recently purchased a 2018 camper with manual Happijacs. The rear jacs are both 4160 series and the front ones are both different, one a 4820 and the other a 4220. I would like to convert to electric jacs. do you have the kit that would work?

Congrats on the new camper! I have a solution but there unfortunately is not a manual to electric conversion kit for the HappiJac 4160 series jacks. The reason an electric conversion will not work for your 4160 is that they have a two piece construction acme screw drive, and the roll pins that connect the acme screw to the upper assembly can shear with the clutch less motors. The Manual-to-Electric Conversion Kit for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems item # LC733960-182524 will work for the 4220 and 4820 jacks but not the 4160s.
You are going to need to upgrade your jacks to the HappiJac Electric Truck Camper Jack System item # LC736514-ELKIT. This system is going to be the correct replacement upgrade that uses the new clutch-less motors. It has an overall weight capacity of 8,000 lbs, or 2,200 lbs per jack, and has a maximum lift of 34-1/2".
