What is the Difference Between DOT 3 and DOT 4 Brake Fluid?

DeeMaxx brakes show to use DOT 4…. Didn’t see it till after DOT 3 was added and bled.. what’s the difference between DOT 3 and DOT 4?

DOT 4 brake fluid is going to have a higher boiling point of 446 degrees Fahrenheit where DOT 3 has a boiling point of only 401 degrees Fahrenheit. While there are some who do say these are compatible with each other it is never recommended to use DOT 3 in a system that specifies DOT 4 as it could more easily boil over.
