Hello Is there a hitch bike rack that can carry 2 e-bikes and 2 road bikes all 4 at the same time?

Hello Jody,

There is indeed a bike rack capable of carrying a pair of ebikes and a pair of road bikes at the same time, so long as you have a 2 inch hitch. That said, it really depends on how much your ebikes weigh, but a good option to start with is the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # SA4414B.

The inner two spots on the rack have a 60 lb per-bike capacity, while the outer two spots on the rack have a 35 lb per-bike capacity. It also grips the bikes by its downtubes and not the wheels so it will work with bikes that have fenders or a step-thru frame.

If you have heavier ebikes there is one other option, the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - Gray # Y75AR or Black # Y85AR.

The StageTwo has a 70 lb per-bike capacity for the inner two spots on the rack and a 40 lb per-bike capacity for the outer two spots. It is a wheel-mounted rack so will work with bikes that have step-thru frames but not fenders, so you'll want to keep that in mind.

The StageTwo is the better overall rack, being much easier to install in your hitch with the turn of a knob instead of a bolt that you have to thread on with the Freedom. The StageTwo also comes with locks to secure the rack and bikes, but you'd have to get that separately with the Freedom at part # SA984.

Thank you for all the information Kyle The Ebikes are 65.9lbs, so looks like the Yakima Stage Two is the right choice, but We have the RAD Power ebikes that have fat tires and they do have fenders. Could there be any other options Many thanks!

@JodyS Unfortunately not, but is the 65.9 lb weight with the battery on? If so, you could remove the batteries before loading and use the Saris Freedom # SA4414B and make it compatible with fat tires by using the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for Saris Freedom Bike Racks # SA4419.
