Question:
Hello, I am having a problem with my trailer jack, Ultra-Fab Products Camper Jacks - UF38. It will lower fine, but it has no power when lifting. It has worked fine for years so I am not sure what is happening. Thanks,

It sounds like you're saying it is hooked up to power but it doesn't have the ability to raise the trailer. This could be the batteries or a problem with the wiring. It is probably getting power, it just may not be enough to lift the trailer. I would start by checking the wire running to the jack using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. You could also double check the trailer batteries.
If you find it has 12V power and still isn't working it may be that the motor is giving out. It would still be able to lower the trailer since it is has the weight and gravity to help but just can't put out the required power to lift it. It could also be a different internal issue, it is hard to say. Since you said it has worked fine for years it is unlikely it is under warranty unless you have the # UF38-944040 with a 10 year warranty. The best option would be to replace it.
