Can this be used on a flatbed truck with a recessed gooseneck ball

With your flatbed having a recessed gooseneck ball you are going to want the Demco Recon # DM8550046. The top of the gooseneck ball must be 13/16" or closer to the top of the bed for this hitch. The Blue Ox # BLU52XR you found is only designed to work on trucks where the gooseneck ball sits above the bed.

@Adam We do have another potential option with the B&W Companion # BWRVK3050. It's designed for flat bed trucks and we'll work well as long as the ball isn't recessed more than 4".
