Question:
Hi I have a Logan horse trailer 2, 7000 pound axles. Can you tell me what type of drum, electric brakes, bearing, and seals I can use? On the drum it says Dexter 8-219 14MT and it’s an 8 bolt. Are the AKEBRK-7-SA okay to use?

Expert Reply:
Yes Dustin, the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA you're looking at will work fine as a replacement. As far as the bearings, seals, and everything else goes, you can use the Dexter Trailer Hub & Drum for 5,200- to 7,000-lb Axles # 8-219-13UC3 which is going to be a direct replacement.
