Can Trailer Brakes be Added Torsion Axle
Published 02/22/2024 >
Question:
I have a two into one jet ski trailer from Magic Tilt. These are two separate trailers that connect to become a double trailer. They have torsion axles not sure that matters. Is it possible to add brakes to these trailers? Thank you.

Hey John, it is definitely possible to add brakes to a trailer with torsion axles but it comes down to whether or not the spindles of the trailer axles have brake mounting flanges currently as the biggest hurdle. They can be added but it's a little more involved. Next you'd need to know the axle capacity and the wheel bolt pattern and from there you'd have all info needed to add brakes.
If you check out the help article I attached you can see a guide that will walk you through the entire process of adding brakes to a trailer.
