Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima pair of replacement track end caps. These are going to replace two of the end caps for your Yakima roof rack tracks. This is going to work with the 42" long tracks, the 54" long tracks, and the 60" long tracks, as you can see on the screen there. Because these are a direct replacement from Yakima, you can trust they are going to fit right in place of the originals. No worries about fit issues or compatibility problems or anything like that.

Splendid! The item was on back order, and a rep called me directly to offer me options. I received my hard-to-find order, and am quite pleased.

The track ends fit neatly. Installation requires removal of the end most screws while installing. They made my DIY tracks look so much better.

Product came in a well packaged box on time. These are the exact Yakima end caps that come with the tracks... I sawed my tracks in two, drilled new holes and used these and they work perfect.

Track end caps. A simple piece of hardware. They didn’t fit. Wrong ones. Wouldn’t take them back. I ate 20 some dollars. Emailed and left message with Yakima customer support number etrailer gave me and they never called or emailed me back. I guess that’s the norm now a days!!

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. We currently offer replacement end caps for two different brands of roof mounted tracks, Yakima part # Y8810103 and Thule part # 853-5361. The brand of the tracks can be hard to identify and I know Thule did produce these for A.R.E. Camper Shells so if the Yakima end caps will not work then I would recommend trying the Thule caps.

    Yes, the Thule UpRide # TH599000 will fit the T-Slot channels of the Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbars. The Rhino-Rack tracks don't have extra end caps available but I do have another solution for you. If you can tell me the model number of your Yakima tracks, or if they happen to be from a different manufacturer, I will be happy to confirm if these will work or recommend a different replacement product. There is not a 2 inch wide cap available from Yakima.

    The Yakima 60" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01135 will work well on a sheet metal roof. You will want to be as close to the frame weight supports as possible to maximize the weight capacity. It sounds like you want to do a customized fit but I don't recommend running the track between the cab and topper. I'd use two separate tracks that are lined up so there is the ability to remove the topper if ever desired and you won't have the chance of an unsupported tower sitting in the gap between...
