Question:

We have a Wesbar part #271594 tail light passenger side on a boat trailer that needs to be replaced. What light would you recommend? What pigtail would you recommend for submersible/waterproof installation?

Hey Jeff, we do have some good replacement options for you. The Wraparound LED Tail Light 271594 has unfortunately been discontinued. Our best option for replacing it is the ONE LED Trailer Tail Light # STL0066RBG for the passenger side and # STL0067RPG for the driver side.

The Wesbar light is about 7" long x 3-3/4" tall x 3" deep. These Optronics lights are 7-3/4" long x 3-1/8" tall x 2-7/8" deep ,so they are slightly larger than the old lights but they should fit nicely in the same area. This light also has a Sonically sealed, waterproof housing so it is ideal for a boat trailer. It uses its own molded 3 prong plug which will provide a watertight connection.

@Jeff Hey Jeff I just checked on this and found that the other half of this plug is currently unavailable. So instead that I suggest using the hardwire version of this light part # STL37RB for driver or part # STL36RB for passenger. You could use heat shrink butt connectors to keep the connections watertight.
