Question:
i have a duo therm model 57915.541 ac unit. I would like to replace it with a 1500 btu unit. What do you recomend?

Hi Jim,
If you're wanting to replace just the rooftop unit then you'll first want to remove the cover of your air distribution box to take a look at the controller. The controller will have a wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and plugs into it with either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below).
If you have a 6-pin connector then the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner # ACDOM150B would be a direct swap out of your current rooftop unit. If you have a 9-pin connector then you'll just need to use a wiring harness adapter like the # ACCOLKIT as well.
If you're looking to completely replace the entire system then I recommend going with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV instead. This will give you a new air distribution box and thermostat as well and you wouldn't have to worry about any compatibility issues since it would be all new equipment.
