Troubleshooting An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner That Won't Power On

Question:

Bought new 15000 compressor wont kick in blue wire has voltage on it put a starter capacitor on it still wont start

How much voltage are you reading when you're checking the power wire for the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150? If you're not getting 115v at the condenser and 12v at the thermostat then the unit isn't going to properly operate. There could also be a communication error between the thermostat and condenser unit if you are mixing and matching brands that can be solved if we have the model number of the thermostat.

I had a similar issue in the past where someone replaced their rooftop unit with a different brand and kept their Dometic thermostat and just had to adjust their Dip Switches for it to properly communicate.

Let me know what you have and the voltage readings and we can troubleshoot your issue further.

I am having the same issue. I have the lower advent with the digital thermostat and the roof unit won't turn on the lower just clicks.

@Jason Ok, then it's likely a communication error or the thermostat is faulty. You'll want to reach out to the manufacturer, ASA Electronics, so they can start a warranty case and get your system functioning properly.
