Recommended Trailer Wiring for a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas

Question:

Good Day I was wondering if I plug in the t wiring harness to my 24 vw atlast Behind the panels to the light fixture , will the car seance the light from the trailer to trigger the trailer since on the vehicle? Im trying to get my tailgate light bar to light up and not have the vehicle think there is a trailer on the back of it! My car also doesnt like the led light bar it telling me the light are out. So by adding this t harness will This solve my issue? Because of adding a power supply to the harness? Thank you

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C67WR you're looking at is not going trick your Atlas into thinking there is a trailer plugged in. All this wiring harness does is provide your vehicle with a 4-flat so you can plug in lights for a trailer or for any hitch mounted accessories. To trick your Atlas on thinking there is a trailer connected, you're going to need to splice into your taillight wiring.

For your light bar issue, it sounds like there may be a lack of power going to the bar itself so I'd recommend making sure your light is connected to a good power source and that it's getting the correct amount of power.
