Question:
I am looking for a replacement latch on a trailer that has an A frame type coupler, the current latch is not holding and comes loose when trying to load something on the trailer. Im hoping this latch with the adjustable handle would let me tighten better. I dont know the mfr of the trailer but its safe to assume it is not Dico. Can you tell me if this latch works for non Dico trailers? Or is there another replacement latch you offer that might work? I tried to call customer service but got a message you are closed. Glad to discuss if someone can call me - Gregg Lowery 770-855-8300

There are quite a few A-frame style couplers out there so without more info I really couldn't confidently say if the repair kit part # T4045400 would work for you or not. If you see Dexter or UFP on the coupler and it's a multi fit style coupler with the knob like what this repair kit has it's probably correct though.
The most straightforward solution would be a new coupler like the part # CA-5210-B to replace what you have now though as that would eliminate any guesswork and would give you a completely knew coupler. This is a weld-on style coupler that fits a 2 inch ball.
