Hello, everybody. This is Jeff from etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this latch repair kit for the Dexter multi-fit couplers and brake actuators. Now this kit here will let you repair a damaged hitch ball latch assembly on your coupler or actuator. This part will work with the Dexter multi-fit couplers and trailer brake actuators and it will also fit the Dico and Demco Model 60 hydraulic actuators. These parts are a cast construction with a nice zinc finish.
The kit will include everything laid out here on the table. It'll include the hand wheel, the hand wheel lock, the ball latch, the ball latch spring, bracket retainer, a hex bolt, the hex screw, and then the two hex nuts. Now the size on the hex bolt is three and a half inches long, which is measured from under the head to the end of the bolt. So if we put a ruler on that, there's your three and a half inch measurement. The diameter is a half inch diameter and on the screw it is two and five-eighths inches long and a seven-16th's diameter.
But that should do it for the review on the latch repair kit for the Dexter multi-fit couplers and brake actuators.

Product worked as described. I used this item on a dico model 60 hitch coupler. Instead of the c clip I used a cotter pin.
Great It saved me. I couldn't find the parts any where. I searched for 2 days on the web then a neighbor told me to check with you. You had the parts with a little looking. Didn't have to weld in a new hitch. Thanks
This didn't come with the hog ring to keep the know from spinning all the way off and Threaded bolt for knob wasn't drilled for hog ring. I Had to reuse my original bolt and put a cotter pin in it.
The hitch replacement parts saved me from having to change my hitch setup. An rv store in Montana was not aware of you when they for us. They should. You are a great source for older trailers like our 1960 Airstream. Got the parts quickly and were exactly as ordered.
This product is exactly what I needed to replace the worn and rusted latch mechanism on our trailer. The self locking nut makes a nice replacement for the cutter pin and nut previously used.

2004 Shorelander trailer used exclusively in salt water on Tampa Bay.
The spring finally rusted out. I decided to put in the kit and it was an easy job. The replacement parts are good quality and fit perfectly. I'll plan to use the same kit on the next rebuild 25 years from now!
Inexpensive and weather durable. They fit the old U-Haul trailer hitch well. They can also fit the previous hitch tongue if the new order is sized with the appropriate pin size.

I reached out to Dexter about the experience with the kit and they advised that the hog ring is included with the kit as well as that the bolt should be long enough. They are sending the parts to me and once I have them, I can have them sent to you.
