Question:

have a 2023 sierra: we have an 1,800 lb truck bed camper and want to raise the back suspension and stiffen it a bit when the camper is in. BUT we do not want the suspension raised or stiffened when the truck camper is not installed. We have airbags that work great when loaded, but when empty they are quite harsh. airlift 5000 ultimate with the jounce stoppers...

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88288 is the best kit we have for what you are looking for. It allows you to change the air pressure inside the springs for your 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 depending on the load. You can try swapping in 2 of the Springs # AL50217 which do not have the internal jounce bumper. This would help do away with some of the harsh ride you are getting when completely unloaded.
