Hello Martin, thanks for reaching out. An air bag kit will be the best suspension enhancement option for your 2024 GMC 1500 Denali. Air bags are great because they allow you to fine-tune your suspension based on what kind of load you are hauling. You can add air to the bags when towing and this will keep the truck perfectly level which will in turn improve ride quality, handling and braking. When you are done towing you can lower the pressure to a minimum of 5 PSI. This will allow you to retain the factory ride without making the ride too stiff like a lot of other suspension enhancement options can do.

The correct air bag kit for your truck is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88288. Please note that this will NOT fit vehicles equipped with the adaptive ride control but as long as you don't have that you will be good.

You also have the option of adding an onboard compressor. For that I recommend the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25980EZ. This is a wireless compressor so you can control the PSI with the included remote or with your smartphone via the Air Lift app. If you plan to tow frequently, or if you will be hauling various different loads it is definitely worth it to invest in an onboard compressor.

@Martin Ok glad you mentioned that. In that case, the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS54FR will be a good option. These will work great as long as you do not have the one-piece composite leaf springs. Check out this video:

@Martin That may be more of a matter of opinion but the RAS system does work great and it has a similar effect to an air bag kit just without the adjustability. It basically pre-loads your springs and makes the factory leaf springs into an active system. The RAS is nice because it is a one-and-done install and requires virtually zero maintenance. I do agree that the RAS can make for a bit of a smoother ride compared to air bags since there is nothing between the axle and the contact point so you wont get that bumping due to the pre-load.
