I have a 2023 GMC 1500 and I had a flat tow kit installed. When I hook it up to my motor home, with the battery disconnected, and when I press the brakes on the motor home, the electronic parking brakes engage and lock the wheels up. How do I get around this? Thanks

Disconnecting the battery should prevent the electronic parking brake from activating. The owner's manual is pretty clear that in the case of insufficient power the EPB cannot activate and that if the battery is left connected or the battery cable contacts the post, the Electric Parking Brake may activate during towing.
Our suggestion is to make sure the battery is in fact disconnected and that the cable is not contacting the battery post. We recommend using a battery disconnect switch instead of just disconnecting the cable. We have the Battery Disconnect # RM-766 for gas engines or the Kit # RM93MR if you have a diesel engine.
