Note: This light bar may have compatibility issues when used on newer vehicles with factory-installed tow packages. If you experience problems with dashboard warnings or rapidly flashing turn signals, a possible solution is using a 4-pin flat to 7-pin round adapter with a built-in electrical resistor. I used this for my LOLO 6-Bike Rack on my 2026 Honda Odyssey. **I needed to use an additional strap with a buckle that I happened to have because the LOLO Rack is pretty wide.** The 4-pin plug worked perfectly with the Honda OEM trailer hitch harness. The light is pretty bright and functions perfectly (brake, turn signals, hazard, etc.).

The extra lights on the back are a great idea and helps to be seen. Seems how the bikes cover up part of the taillights on the jeep.

When I first received this safety light from e-trailer, I found it would not work correctly with my 2021 Leisure Travel Wonder RV (Ford Transit chasis). I had to return it. I called Hollywood racks directly about the issue, and was told there was a new version that just came out (it no longer had the amber lights and had other updates). So I ordered from them - they were nice enough to also give me a discount for the trouble.
The new Safety bar worked perfect and is still working great after one year.
I'm sure e-trailer now has the newer model in stock.

E-trailer was a big help with my initial order and return, and I thank them for that. I highly recommend these folks!

Really like the design works perfectly when the rack and our Cargo E-bikes are on the RV and covered for protection!! I was worried we would have to leave them uncovered but this took care of the issue! I also like the versatility this offers if we feel we need to raise the light up higher later on down the road. Great product!!

Excellent visibility! I tried the smaller Curt lights but people told me they were not bright enough for safety. This light is WAY brighter! I did mount it with double sided tape onto the bar along with zip strips because I wanted to be as protected from the ground as possible. Expensive but much safer and worth it in our opinion!

LED light is great. Really make the bike rack a lot more visible. If you have a Hollywood Destination E 4500 bike rack and you do not want to attach the light bar to your bike, you may want to order the adapter bar which I have done. The adapter bar attaches below the rack and allows for a more permanent mount.

Works great. I carry two fat tire ebikes that cover the tailights on my Ford Expedition. These provide bright running lights, brake lights, turn signals and emergency flashers. A little pricey for what it is, but cheaper styles won't fit anywhere on my style Hollywood bike rack (Sport Rider).

Very well made. Like that you can mount it both below the bike rack or up higher actually on the bikes. Also like that it has two full rows of LEDs (one row is used for signaling and the other for indicator & emergency lights) vs. one row as I saw with other less expensive modes.

Works well, seems to be well made. One note, this will NOT mount on the Destination E bike rack without purchasing a separate adapter bar, which eTrailer does not show on their website. I had to order one direct from Hollywood Racks.

The lightbar does not work. It does the turn signals properly but the brake light and running lights don't work right. Brake lights don't light up and I think the running light is actually the brake light (seems really bright). I reached out to Hollywood Racks and they said it's a known issue with newer vehicles (I have a 2020 GMC 3500HD and this was plugged into a 4-way pin on a 2024 5th wheel RV) and there's no fix.

No knock on etrailer, just the product.

The light was very EZ to hook to my bikes. I just used the long strap with the supplied Velcro straps. The light is super bright. Now I don’t have to worry about my bikes blocking my tail lights. Great light at a great price.

Hi Jeff, you can carry your 2 CSC e-bikes behind your Alliance Paradigm fifth wheel trailer, but you’ll want to separate them rather than keep them in that tandem setup since we don’t have a rack designed to safely carry them side by side like that. Hey David, thanks for reaching out. Hollywood actually makes a light kit specifically for the RV Rider Bike Rack, the Hollywood Racks Safety LED Light Bar for Bike Racks # HLY54RR. This uses straps that attach it directly to the crossmember of the bike rack. You just need to have a 4-flat on the back of your van, and for that you can use the Tekonsha # 118618 if you don't have one already. Load Resistor For 2023 Ford F150 Tremor Towing Trailer With LED Lights
Hello Adam, thanks for reaching out. We do have resistors that can be used for the purpose. For a permanent solution you can wire the Load Resistors # DI34ZR on your trailer wiring. A better option would be one of our adapters, since it is just plug and play. We have the 7-Way Adapter # 20142 and 7-Way to 4/5-Way Adapter # C35FR which have built in resistors. These will plug directly into the 7-way and allow you to tow a trailer with LED lights without issue.

4-Flat To 7-Round Adapter With Load Resistors Needed For The Hollywood Racks Safety LED Light Bar
Hey Dale, There isn't an adapter like this already made but you can easily make one yourself. You'll want the # 7-Way RV to 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47365 and some load resistors # DI34ZR. You can either unscrew the 7-pole plug and disconnect the wiring or just cut it in the middle since you're going to be extending it a bit. Using some spare wire # 16-4B-1 you'll splice the resistors in line with the light function wires with some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10....

Adding 4-Way to Rear of Travel Trailer for Bike Rack Lighting Kit
What you would need to do is install a 4-way at the rear of your travel trailer that taps into it's trailer lighting circuits. For that you'd want the # 18252 which will give you a 4-way for the Hollywood Racks bike rack light kit part # HLY54RR. Running an extension wire from your tow vehicle would be pretty challenging and wouldn't work as well.

Due to the limits of trailer taillight wiring circuits your Hollywod Racks Safety LED light bar part # HLY54RR is functioning properly. The turn signals and the stoplights are all on the same circuit so the lights are going to all light up when you hit the brakes. The part # TR20141 is not an adapter designed to fix this situation so it would not work for you.

What Info is Needed to Pick out Trailer Replacement Axle
We don't have a way to look up exactly what axle you need based on what you mentioned but we can still help. When picking out an axle for a trailer you'll need to know the overall length of it from hub face to hub face as well as the distance between the spring seat centers to pick out correct size.
