Trailer Stake Pocket Tire Carrier With Rub Rail Attached

Question:

I have a Big Tex 16TL. It has regular stake pockets but they have rub rail attached to them. Are the bolts that attach the mount long enough to attach it to my trailer? DM15850-76 Thanks

The Demco stake pocket spare tire carrier won't work with rub rail as the bolts are not long enough. Something that can work is the Brophy Trailer Stake Pocket Spare Tire Carrier # SPTC.

This uses a bolt plate and nut that secures the carrier to the stake pocket. If you go to about the 2:00 mark of the below linked video you can see how the # SPTC attaches to the stake pocket.
