Question:

How durable is the plastic? Will I need to change it out often? Just wondering since they offer this in stainless.

The plastic that comes on the 50A SmartPlug RV Power Inlet and Connector # SM76FR is very durable and you'll be happy with it for years to come. The reason why SmartPlug offers the Stainless Steel alternative, Kit # SM96FR, is because they understand the desire for high-quality electrical parts so they wanted to offer a premium version. As durable as plastic can be, it will never last longer or be a better protector than Stainless Steel.

Attached are review videos for both options that you can reference.

SM96FR, I'm looking for this kit , but they just came out with the angled cord plug. The straight plug always puts downward pressure on the RV wall portion of the plug. I want to use my existing cord, but do not want the straight cord plug. Do you offer a kit with the 2 items I described? Ron

@Ron I've got a way to get both ends to you, but as of right now they aren't kitted together. For a 50A setup you need these parts: - Inlet # SM56FR - Angled Cord # SM54SB For a 30A setup you need these parts: - Inlet # SM97FR - Angled Cord # SM22YB Just add what you need to your cart and we'll send them out to you!
