Tip for Installing SmartPlug RV # SM96FR

Question:

Regarding installation of the 50 amp Smart Plug female plug. I did have a non-issue issue when installing the female plug on my existing 50 amp cable. When the green and white wires lined up with their respective sockets on the plug, the black and red were reversed on my cable. However, since they are separate 120v hot wires and it matters not which one goes to which side of the breaker panel in the RV, its irrelevant. If you find the same, just go ahead and connect the black to red and the red to black because you sure cant bend those wires into their respective sockets! You may want to add something like the above to your installation instructions. Henrik
