Question:
Will the 50 to 15 SmartPlug adapter power a small microwave in and Airstream?
asked by: Ron G
Expert Reply:
The SmartPlug RV Power Cord Adapter # SM93VR is rated for 15 amps at 120 volts so as long as your microwave doesn't exceed that you'll be good to go.
For example, a lot of microwaves have a wattage rating. The cord mentioned above can accommodate up to 1,800 watts so it can handle a small microwave like the Furrion Over the Range RV Convection Microwave # FMCM15SS which has a power consumption of 1,500 watts at the max.
Check the wattage of your microwave and as long as it's under 1,800 watts for consumption you'll be good to go.
